Maitland School Board and the teachers'. union, Ontario Secondary
School Teachers'. Federation District li.
The deadline for Huron -Perth schools to file information 10
WOSSA for competition this year passed on Minday. WOSSA vice-
president and South Huron District High School tcitchcr/coach Terry
O'Rourke said the WOSSA board met yesterday after press. hinting
the WOSSA deadline may be lifted temporarily to give Huron -Perth
' schools a chanceWOSSA and OFSAA competition this season if
the union and the school hoard reach an agreement soon. The season
- would either he condensed or shortened:
O'Rourke has said previously that Huron -Perth schools may oiler
fall school sports just within the conference if unions and the board
do not come to an agreement in tiupe for-theWOSSA hoard. -
The teachers' work action isn't a 'work to rule' since teac'hcrs
aren't called on to just make it to school in time for class or leave
school immediately alter -(he school day.
