programs: of the Huron Adult Day Centre The Das
. Centre serves adult residents tit Huron County who
•chuuse to live independently in the cunununttl and
require us:bstance to do so. The Day Centre oilers
suctul emotional rind physieal'suppurt services nt
clients as well as providing relief and respite to
(anew vers
Presently! there are two programs: the Day Away
program and the regular Day program running,con
Cunently un Tuesdays, Hednesdays. Thursdays and
Fridays serving 100 clients The Day Away pro-
. !,gram serves clients with Alzheimer Disease and re-
lated dementias while the regular program targets
frail elderly and developmentally challenged adults
The South Huron Satellite Alzheimer Day Away"
• program began in July 1995 in rented space al the
Exeter Villa. -The program was offered one day per
• week. The Day. Away program iionhnued at the Vil-
la until May 1998. Clients began attending ttie Clin-
ton based ptugram while negotiations were under;
way with the South Huron Hospital to access
;• available space to provide increased security and
privacy tar Day Away clients
The proposed additional, space at the hospital '
would allow the South Huron'prograni to expand in
c;iteni numbers up to twelve participants: and
etude the regular Day program. clients presently In

Plans are continuing to restart the South Huron
Satellite Day Centrt prugratn in Exeter on Thurs
days by October'1998. As well. an addluunal.sitc in
Grand. Bend at the St. Johns, by the Lake Anglican' ,
Church has been targeted kw Day'Centre programs
for the fall of 1998 .'
The Day programs would operate Crum 10 ani. to
3 p.m. with transportation provided to and frum,the
centre sues. If you know of any potential clients for
