Pool players' club coming to Exeter area

Liz Connelly. a ereccut transplant
from Port Elgin, is organising a Ca-
nadian -Pool Players' Association
branch in Exeter and invites all in-
: terested players to an orientation/
information meeting at Classic Bil-•
Bard., 414 Main• St., on Sept. 25 at
7 p.m. Canadian Pool Players' •As-

Connelly said she • has learned
much of what she knows from old-

TV and by playing in a kit of tour-
naments. .The one thing she doesn't •
do •is what most people say you
must do. • .

Cost 'to players to
join the Exeter area pool associa-
tion is $21.40 for CPPA tncmbcr-
ship plus $6 per night of pool (there
may be sonic small additional
costs). Players must be 19 or -older.

College). The Colonial in Grand'
Bend, The Dominion Tavelit in Zu-
rich and Kelly's Place in Hensall.

Billiards each Saturday and Sunday

Hensall hopefuls

I the ice on Saturday and Sunday for the first' round of tryouts during the team's first
raining camp at Hensall Arena. Those trying out include Terry Bedard, an original Sher -
woods player, former Exeter Jr. D Hawk Sean McCann and former North Middlesex Jr. D
Star Chris Downie. More open tryouts at the Hensall Arena are scheduled for this week-
end, from,1 p.m. -2:30 p.m. Saturday and from noon -1:30 p.,m. Sunday. The new edition
of the team will play in the WOAA's. West Division agai1'st Clinton, Goderich, Ripley,
Monkton and Lubknow. Hensall will also face off in. home-andhorne series versus 'AA'
clubs from Milverton, Tavistock and Wellesley. The season starts with the Sherwoods
home opener at Hensall Arena on Oct. 4 at 12:45 p.m. The' original Sherwoods team
