Acetaminophen is the: most popular pain reliev-
er in North America. It works ►yell for:pain and
fever. However use caution if you, drink alcohol. Drinkers should
not -take more .than 2 grams pr day, half the recommended
dose. Acetaminophen produces a by-product that can harm 'the liv-
er. Alcohol depletes the liver of glutathione, a substance that pro-
tects the liver.
Aloe is a popular ;nerb. It's available in many forms including oral
liquids. There is evidence that it helps healing" when applied- to
the skin but there is -no proof it does any good internally; except
as a laxative effect.
