DON'T over load tarm wagons or other equipment. DON'T allow unskilled operator's on your farm implements DON'T wurk near noisy farm machines with- out protection for your ears. DO observe all highway traffic rules when op- erating on public roads. DO equip your tractors with a protective frame or crush resistant cab. DO wear safety belts when driving or riding any farm vehicle. Plan and practice ways of evacuating house d fire strkes. • • Install fire extinguishers in buildings, on motor vehicles, tractors and sell -propelled equipment. (dry chemical is generally best; consult dealer.) • Applying pesticides, wear gloves and recom- mended protective clothing and chemical respira- tors. Do not smoke. • Keep pesticides in a suitable storage area, inac- cessible to children and animals. • Protect small children and others by covering tank openings, and fencing dangerous areas such as manure lagoons and farm ponds. Have . flotation aids available at ponds. • Check electrical wiring, use proper size fuses. • Wear safety shoes (with steel toe box), especial- ly for repair and construction jobs, machinery op- erations and materials handling. • Protect your eyes with glasses or goggles with safety lenses. (CSA Approved). • Protect your head with an industrial type "hard" hat or "bump" cap. • Spare your hands on rough jobs with heavy -duly gloves.
