The theme of this year's pro- gram is• "Reading Takes You Places!", the aim of which is to encourage children to con- tinue the adventures of reading throughout the summer months. All children ages 5 to 12 are invited to take part in this ex- citing hour long program which involves stories, songs, games and crafts that will take them for adventures across Canada, around the world, into space, and even through time! Elisabeth Ball and Jackie Fisher, the Sumner Reading Program Coordinators, will present "Reading Takes You Places!' during the months of July and August at the various participating library branches. The Summer Program is made possible through the sup- port of the Huron County Li- • hrary and by a grant from the Summer Career Placement Pro- gram through Human Resourc- es Development Canada. All fathers were presented with a gift of a hag of candy. Joe Laurie and Linda Keys presented the Sunday School children with their awards. Laurie also thanked those who helped with the Sunday School throughout the year. Sunday School teachers and 'helpers are needed for September. Next Sunday, June 28, Goshen Church will he celebrating their anniversary with Pat Milliken as the guest speaker. if you have a copy of the new hymn hook "Voices United" please bring it along.
