McFalls won the Exeter Legion men's pairs lawnbowling
tournament at their home club last week. The pair bested
21 other teams from London, St. Marys, Stratford, Sea -
forth, Ingersoll and Exeter with a 3W50 record. Other re-
sults: St. Marys' Larry McLellan, 3W47; London's Norm
Welsh, 2W56; ingersoll's Bill Furlong, 2W50; London's Ho-
ward Adkin, 2W48; Exeter's Bob Thompson and Henry Dra-
chenberg, 2W42.

The Centralia -Huron Park Lions
Club is again hosting their Million
Dollar Hole -In -One fundraising
event for the Stephen
Township Arena at
the Exeter Golf
Club.
"This enjoyable,
yet intense
fundraiser has been a
i lot of fun since its
beginning in 1996" stated
Dianne Finkbeiner.
"Without the support of
the Centralia -Huron Park
Lions Club, the Stephen Township
Arena Board, all the volunteers and
alt participants, this fundraiser
would not be such a success" she
added.
Qualifying runs arc from
Wednesday, July 8 until Saturday,
July 11, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and
Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The 120 golfers that place their
ball within 3' of the 115 yard hole
will move onto the semi-finals
starting at 6 p.m. Sunday.
The 10 closest to the I55 -yard
hole advance to the finals at 8 p.m.
Prizes include a '98 Buick
Century from Huron Motor
Products for any hole -in -one during
the semi-finals and $1 million for
any hole -in -one during the finals.
A $1000 cash prize will he
awarded to one of the top ten
finalists who hits their hall closest
to the pin.
