on the right cleat with a 17-8 home win over. Byron

resulted in the win, Fulop said.

Exeter women fall twice c''"
EXETER — The Exeter wom-
en's soccer team had a tough week
with a home and an away Toss.
On Sunday the host Exeter squad
lost 4-2 to the London Hornets. The
day's strong winds played a big
factor in the game and the gusts did
not blow in Exeter's favor. Exeter
also played with a shorter bench
than usual and had no substitutions.
Helen Theophilopoulas played
well in goal during the first half for
Exeter, a real switch from her usual
• position at centre forward. The
home squad played well against the
wind in the first stanza but made
the Hornets' goalkeeper look good
by shooting right at her a number
of times.
Exeter shuffled positions in the
second half, moving Theo-
philopoulas up to the forward line
while moving Rochelle Geoffries
into the net.
Exeter's two goals were both
scored by Juanita Chappell on cor-
ner kicks.
Exeter was blanked 4-0 by host
London City B last week. Despite
the final score, goalkeeper Lisie
Geurts played an outstanding game.
The rest of the Exeter squad
played a strong first half holding
off their opponents. But London
City outplayed Exeter in the second
half and moved in faster to receive
passes and shot often.
The two losses brings Exeter's
record to 1-2.
The Exeter women next play at
home on Sunday against London
Curinga B.
