For tickets phone 565-5323. to PUBLIC MEETING CONCERNING A PROPOSED ZONING BY-LAW AMENDMENT TOWNSHIP OF McGILLIVRAY Monday, June 1, 1998 8:15 p.m. TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Township of McGILLIVRAY will hold a public meeting on MONDAY. JUNE 1. 1998 AT 8:15 P.M. in the McGILLIVRAY Council Chambers, R.R. #3, Ailsa Craig, Ontario NOM 1A0. The meeting is to consider a proposed Zoning By-law amendment under Section 34 of the Planning Act., R.S.O. 1990, as amended. .+ The purpose of the zoning by-law amendment are several. The by-law would revert the zoning of Part Lot 21, Concession 11 to General Agricultural (A1) from A1-4 which defined area zoning was enacted in 1993 and permitted a day camp and retreat center. This use was • never meaningfully established. The by-law incgrporates definitions for "Minimum Distance Separation 1 (MDS I)" and "Minimum Distance Separation (MDS II)" which are the current provincial guidelines for establishing appropriate distances between new development and existing livestock uses (MDS I) and new or expanding livestock uses and existing development (MDS II). A definition for "Livestock Unit" is also added. The information necessary for the calculation of MDS I and MDS II is incorporated within the by-law and all references to the Agricultural Code of Practice which was the previous provincial guideline are amended accordingly. Finally, the by-law changes the minimum distance separation regulation relevant to General Agricultural (A1), Restricted Agricultural (A2), Park and Recreation (P), and Institutional (1) zones to a minimum of 300 metres or the MDS I or II distance, whichever is the more restrictive requirement. Currently, the zoning by-law requires a minimum distance separation of 300 metres or the distance under the Agricultural Code of Practice, whichever is the less restrictive. ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make a written or verbal representation either in support of or in opposition to the proposed amendment. ADDITIONAL INFORMATIbN relating to the proposed amendment is available during regular office hours at the Township office. If a person or public body that files an appeal of a decision of the Township of McGILLIVRAY, in respect of the proposed zoning by-law does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to Township of McGILLIVRAY before the proposed zoning by-law is adopted The Ontario Municipal Board may dismiss all or part of the appeal.
