All proceeds will- go to St. Boniface School for new play- ground equipment. The Women's Institute will meet on May 4 at Erb's Country Kitchen at 11:30 a.m. for Iuruh. A short- meeting will be held afterwards at the home of president Bridget Groot. followed by a drive to the Baylield area to tour the nursery at Tc -fico Farms. •Anyone. wanting to join the group are to •phone Groot at 236-4743 as soon as possible.. Sunday was a special day for resident Vcra O'Brien as family members. friends and residents gathered in the auditorium to celebrate 96 years young. Vera's children. grandchildren and great-grandchildren attended the event. Sisters from St. Thomas and Wallaceburg enjoyed mingling with about 6(1 guests and dining on cake and ice cream,. Raptor visit Ross Snyder of Tamarack, the Raptor Rehabilitation Foun- dation visited McGillivray Central School. last week with One of his non-releaseable raptors to explain his work to the students. The foundation was founded in 1985 to rehabili- tate injured birds of prey and to provide public education. He explained the special diets required by the birds, the housing facilities which they have available and the way they are released Into the wild.
