local school is part of TVOntario's
exciting educational pilot project
TVO Virtual Classroom currently
being tested in 22 schools across
the province. Students interact with
'.virtual teachers. experts. and
each other through an innovative
conthination of technologies to
learn and -.get connected" with the
outside world. TV() is• launching
the resource this week to honor the
province's Education Week (May
4-t().
Traditional tclevisrtun distance
learning courses• (often called
"chalk -and talk TV) offer one-way
communication, usually tiaturing'a
static instructor writing on a black-
board. In contrast. TVO Virtual
C lassrooiti is a dynastic and collab-
orative educational resource allow-
