golf course by Gord Lohh on his

Allowing the golf course
would mean a zoning bylaw
amendment, part of which
would change the zoning of land
within 600 metres of the course
from general agricultural to re-
stricted agricultural.
With the change of Lobb's
land from agricultural to recrea-
tional, the distance that livestock
barns would have to•be from the

Wingham
gets Wescast
expansion
WINGHAM - An expansion
of • Wescast Industries could
creak 30O new jobs once it's up
and running, reports ,the Wing -
ham Advance Times.
Phase 1 of the project will ex-
pand the company's -annual pro-
duction by an estimated 33 per
cent. Phase I1 would allow for a
further 25 per cent increase in
capacity by 2002, when the new
jobs would he made available.
At least $60 million will initially
be spent on the new plant.
Wingham Mayor Don Carter
told the 'limes a combination of
the announcement and future
jobs would help fill empty stores
on the town's main street. He
added it would also help boost a
committee working to build a
new recreation complex for the
North Huron area.
The area Chamber of Com-
merce sees the announcement as
a "stepping stone" to attract
more industry, possibly includ-
ing one linked to the automotive;
sector.

T -A Reporter
EXETER -."I've Icft writing this

"Public - school was (a.) fairly

ince. continues in his invitation to
the event taking place at Exeter's
Three AAA Family Restaurant on
May 16 "Grade 8 was the end of
'an era with things soon becoming
hectic, complicated and yes, re-
warding...Pcrhaps on a day in May,
we can remember a kinder and gen-
tier time."
Ince has heard positive replies
from nearly all of the letters he sent
'out in search of EPS classmates
from as far away as Arizona and Al-
berta. Many were able to offer addi-
tional addresses and information as
to the whereabouts 'of others. Many
telephone conversations
involved catching up
with one another's.lives.
"This has come with-
out too much effort or
anguish." Ince explained.
"It's like a chain letter. it
goes on and on and some
of these people arc call-
ing each other and talk-
ing about it."
Originally from Prince Edward is-
