Two hurt
Smash up. Two people were taken to South Huron Hospital by ambulance following a two
vehicle crash at the corner of County Roads 83 and 11 just after 1 p.m. on' Easter Monday..
The car was travelling eastbound on #83 and the..van- at right. was southbound on -#111. No
other details were known at press and the investigation continues. "

DASHWOOD - The parishioners
at Zion Lutheran celebrated a joy:'
ful Easter w•cek, alter a series of
unique Lenten services that looked'
•at some of the. cross emblems used
' by Christians over the. years. •
On Palm Sunda. the Sunday
School students welcomed the -con-
gregation by lining the iitain aisle
of the church holding paha branch-
es. Gaster Sunday began at dawn.
with a sunrise service conducted by
church youth who told the Easter
story. _
- 111is excellent- presentation was
followed by a delicious breakfast of
pancakes• sausages. and hot cross
Nuns served• by the youth- and the
elders. The.. congregation's wadi
tional Easter celebration ser\ ice
was then held amidst beauulu1 bas-
kets of -:aster lilies and spring
flowers. All three Dashwood con-
gregations had very full parking
lots on Easter norniiig. -
Hugh Boy k and his small crew
of willing helpers have been can-
vassing the town seeking donatitms•
for the Canadian Cancer Society..

Bandit I)og• who resided with
John and Mary ,Becker and lankly.
died February 9 at -the much ad-
vanced are of -twenty years: Bandit.
a small black and -white fellow. was
.well known for nuking his rounds
-of the Community and keeping an
eye on things. He arrived in the
Becker household to celebrate the
first birthday of Jeremy Becker in
1977, and was, of course, like part
of the family-. Erich Freiler -Sr.
knew Bandit as the "BurgerMeister
of Dashwood," while others re
(erred to the nomadic canine as the
Mayor.
Alma Genuncr will remetnher
Bandit's clever use of her bird hath
'as. his personal drinking dish.. So,
goys -bye to a. faithful and watchful
friend of our little town.
