Devin Dickins Hensall now moves to the next round Zurich bowlers advance to regional rolloffs By Ron Dann ZURICH '- A Thursday mixed team of Mike and Bev Cregan, Pat Rimmer, Frank Briggs, Jennifer Glazier and Peggy Willett from the Zurich Bowlers' Association edged a Clinton Association Ball Busters team by just 17 pins to, win the combined Zurich and Clinton Association's three game, pins over average, Ontario Five Pin Bowlers' Association (O'.P.B.A.) Provincial Team Championships rolloff Sunday.at Zurich's Town and Country Lanes:. At the end of the second. game the Clinton team led the Zurich team by plus ' 393-129 but ,strong third game scores .of 320 and 308 rolled by Bev and Mike Cregan respectively paced the Zurich team to come from behind with plus 209 while Clinton struggled to a minus 72. and Zurich Association's team won -With 338 pins above their team average to 321 pins over for the Clinton team: The Zurich Association now advances to the Regional rolloffs April 19 at London's Fleetway lanes. Competition will be a sin- gle round-robin, match play, pins over average format. • - Each bowler who beats their /average by more pins than their opponent shall receive one point plus three points will be awarded to the team that bowls the most pins above its combined average, making a maximum of nine points available for each game. The Regional winning team will advance to the Provincial Team Championships May 23 at Oshawa. Edwards wins -3-6-9 ' Bluewater. . Bowlers' -Association president 011ie Edwards won the fourth leg of the Bluewater Association's five game 3-6-9 tournament Sunday at - Zurich Town and Country lanes. Edwards piled up an impressive 1,505 total pinfall to finish in front- of Zurich Association's Mike Van Damme's 1,468 score.
