Funding returns for Internet
access project at Huron libraries
EXETER - Matt Seabrook is
back on duty at the Exeter Public
Library. He is employed by the Hu-
ron Community Access Project
(CAP) which is funding free Inter-
net tutorials at Huron County li-
braries until the end of, March.
Helen Hodgins. Exeter library's
branch supervisor praised Seabrook
for his knowledge, and ability to
teach people about the Internet. He
is available after school and durin
regular library hours in the March
Break. -

Hodgins said most people hook-
ing tutorials are adults since chil-
dren already know their way
around the World Wide Web. She
advises people to phone ahead

The Huron Community Access
Project is a joint initiative of local
agencies that provides public ac-
cess to the Internet and helps de-
velop the skills needed to use the
Internet effectively.

Thursday. Seabrook is avail-
able for free Internet tutorials
at the Exeter Library until the

of Grand Bend approached council
last Tuesday with it proposal to 'see
the enlargement of health services

in Clinton, trustees voted to con-
tinue the program in Huron County
'schools for one more school year.
Chairperson Ahhy Armstrong's
vote against,the motion will he re-
corded in the minutes. Trustees
Willed down her suggested amend-
ment to the motion which would
have 'described 'the. programa' as a
"Grade I readiness" program. •
John Patierson. associate director
of education, asked trustees to al-
low the program to continue in Hu-
ron schools until they decide• if
they want thc program in all
schools across thc district. Current-
ly, it. exists in the schools of the Hu-
ron County' Board of Education but
not in the schools - of the Perth
County Board of Education.
