home on Saturday with a 6-0 win.
They await the winner of the Aylm-

Snow drags set to speed
ZURICH — The first annual Pro -Amateur Snow Drags will melt
the February blahs on Fehr. 22.
.New Central Ontario Snowmobile Drag Racing Association
(COSDRA) co-owner Kris Bedard said he and itis partner/brother
- Karmen are treating the event as an "experimental race" to see how
much interest there is in the area in snowmobile racing.
The Bedards recently houghs the rights to COSDRA though Kris
has worked with the organization for sod•,,• time including running .

Kris hopes the Snow Drags will evolve into a winter series like the.
August -October grass series that includes stops in Grand Bend; Zu-
rich. Kitchener. Thorndalc, Orangeville and Orillia. • -
The Feb. 22 races will start -at noon at Richard Bedard's farm 5 kin
west of Zurich on Hwy..84. The amateur classes are open to anyone
including the "local -trail riding guys." Kris said. and will he run on
the snow without studs and .with tether cords. The pro races will he
run on the frozen grass -with studs. •There are trophies for the top
three finishers in the amateur classes plus Molson prizes and a
$2.000 purse for the pros.
Fan admission is $10/adults. students two for one with student
cards. $5/seniors and children age 5 and under free. The grandstands
pare sheltered. there wilt he a beer garden and a concession stand.

chosen Molesworth Lanes (near
Listowel) to host the Blucwater
Association five -game. match play,
pins over average, Scorecard
Holiday Classic Regional rolloffs
Sunday, .March 22.
The six -team round-robin compe-
tition includes three from
Molesworth and one each from
l;istowel..Lucknow-Clinton .and
-Zurich Bowlers' Associations. Each
howler who heats their Own average
by more pins than their opponent on
the opposing team will receive one
point for their team while three
additional points will he awarded to
the team that howls the most pins
over its cinnhined average. making
a total of eight points maximum per
team.
in each game. the team assigned
infa lane draw by the O.F.P.B.A: to
the right hand lane will he the
'home' team and the left-hand lane
team will he the 'away' team. The
away team coach must submit their
line-up before the !nine tears line-
up is submitted. The team winning
the Regional rolloff will advance to
the Provincial Scorecard
Championships April- 25 at
Scarborough.

Molesworth and Zurich. Town and
Country teams from the Zurich
Association league rolloffs will
compete in a three -game, pins over
average rolloff Sunday. March 1 at
10 a.m. for the right to advance to
the Regional finals April 19 at a
O.F.P,B.A: designated location.

Four-year-old Kristoler
Ducharme, a Smurf age howler in
the. Youth .Bowling Council
(Y.B.C.) league at Town and
Country Lanes threw his arms.high
in the air Saturday morning and
proudly shouted "I got a spare. I got
a spare," .after scoring his first-ever
spare. He received a special spare
crest as a Smurf award to display
on his Ti►wn and Country howling
shirt.

games last week to clinch first and
• second:respecti vely.
Lucan won 2-1 over North Mid-
dlesex at. the Lucan Community
Memorial Centre on Wednesday
and 6-2 over third place Mitchell in
their Karn on Friday.

"It was a pretty entertaining game
going back •and forth." Revington '
said. "Both goaltenders (Andy Gla-
vin for Exeter) made some good
saves." • -
