Talent night at Osborne School, February 13 Local talent show be- gins t 7:30 p.m.... By Mary Peterson Centralia correspondent CENTRALIA - An intergenera- tional Service of Worship entitled 'The Power That is Love' was cele- brated at Centralia United Church on Sunday, February 1. Young and old alike assisted throughout the service with responsive readings, scripture readings, and leading prayers. Larry Skinner delivered a special message entitled 'The Greatest is Love.' The floral bouquet in the church was from Gladys Buswell and her family in loving memory of Mel- ville Buswell. An interesting addition to the worship service included the Maori version of The Lord's Prayer which was adapted by Jim Cotter. Everyone participated in the Agape Feast of grapes and raisin bread distributed by the Sunday Schciol children. In the scripture readings from 1 Corinthians 13, St. Paul spoke about Agape; the Greek word for God's self -giving love. Christian love is.also self -giving. Following worship, everyone. en- joyed a lunch prepared by the Sun- day School teachers. Jean Caslick created a wonderful cake especially for the occasion.
