at South Huron Rec Centre on.Sunday. Lucan.won 6-2. The OMHA playoffs have started with

Rocking the house. South Huron District High School junior curler Dennis Noakes shows
his concentration while throwing a rock at the Gore Mutual High School zone playdown at Ex-
eter Curling Club on the weekend. Noakes' team finished behind the 'A' and 'B' winners,
Central Huron •and Lucas Secondary respectively, *who now advance to the. regional finals.
The South Huron girls fared far better with their teams taking both the 'A' and 'B' sides to
make South Huron the only reps at the regionals. The South Huron girls are (skip, third, sec-
ond, lead, sub), 'A' team: Jenn Mercer, Laura Miller, Melanie Urquhart and Brianne Webber;
'B' team: Beth Ann Hern, Marilou Hem, Jenny DeBlock, Adrienne Urquhart and Carrie Illman.

Exeter defeated Elora 3-2 in the
final on two goals by Michelle Des-
jardinc and one by Alecia Drum-
mond. Assists.wcnt to Kelsey. Pind-"
er (2). Lauren Taylor. Janine Baer.
Kristin Ferguson and Shauna Skin-
ner. Co -coach Angie Desjardinc

Exeter got ,to the final by winning
game one over the hosts 4-3 and
blanking Hanover 5-0 in game two

scored two each in the Mount For-
est game with Taylor. Kristy Blanc,
VanHaarlem. Ferguson, Pinder,
Bedard and Baer picking -up assists.
Skinner earned the shutout in net
for Exeter in the Hanover game
with Regier (2). Baer. Taylor and
Bedard providing the goals. Assists
were earned by Taylor. Ferguson
(2). Lindsay Blanc (2). Phillips.
VanHaarlem. Pinder and Drum-
mond.
"All the girls put in a solid team
effort." Desjardine said. "Great
passing and•checking by all the
girls."
Desjardine thanks Ron Blanc for
his "off -ice supervision skills" and
all -the parents fur their "loud and
boisterous cheering."
