Juvie Chiefs moved up to `B'
EXETER.— The Exeter Juvenile
Chiefs hockey team have been
moved. up to the 'B' level for the
playoffs from 'CC-.
Though 'the schedule wasn't
available at press. the Chiefs will
meet Elora in the first round of the
playoffs while Aylmer and New
Hamburg will face each other.
Chiefs assistant coach Mike Sol-
dan said the key' to Exeter's success
is' whether they can heat either
Aylmer or New Hamburg in the
second round. Exeter - iti the de-
fending OMHA 'CC' champs.
Exeter travelled to Mooretown on
the weekend for the Silver Stick
Juvenile Tournament. The Chiefs
lost to Aylmer 4-2 though Exeter
took the play to Aylmer for most of

the contest. Uxbridge heat the
Chiefs 5-1' in game two and Soldan
said their opponent earned the vic-
tory by Outplaying the Chiefs and
capitalizing on Exeter mistakes.
The Chiefs ended the tournament
on a positive note by defeating
Prince Edward County 4-3 on Sat-
urday. Soldan said the tournament
was important for gearing up for
the OMHA playdowns. • •
On Jan. 3. Exeter heat host Elora
6-I.
The Chiefs have a handful of
games left including to he sched-
uled matches versus Elora and Ncw.
Hamburg. Exeter's next scheduled
honk game is Jan. 24 versus Elora.
