.The Friends' of Pinery Park and Pinery Provincial Park officials held a
.public ribbon. cutting. ceremony on Saturday to officially open a new bi-
•-cycle trail. -
Fhe eight. km.. trail meanders through the unique Oak •Sav:unla ec-
osystem of the park and more than 183 peorle,.young and old, slim\ cd up
to be the first cine'. to experience it. As an added attraction. seven Park
Naturalists were stationed along the trail to encourage exploration of Pin- .
• cry's natural heritage. -
Terry Crabe. Natural Resource Manager, said the trail is mitque hvcause
it pro% ides the opportunity for cyclists to experience the park %%bile Mini-
mizing the iinpa: t of cycling on its delicate ecosystem.. •
