May 26, 1917 - There will be
no farmers' excursion to OAC
in Guelph during June this
' year. The railways and the
farmers are too busy to bother
with frills this year.
Victoria Day was a record
breaker. It seemed to be a fight
between spring and summer.
All holidaying was cancelled
and people stayed at home and
considered the high cost of liv-
ing for a change.
