Seniors enjoy meal together
'EXETER - Thc May 6 meeting
of/the Exeter Seniors was, held at
the Exeter Legion, decorated with
spring flowers. Supper was served
at 6 p.m. Dashwood Seniors were,
guests .and brought some of their
cooking to share. _ ,
The regular meeting was opened
at 7 p.m. by President Lila Ellis.
Thc group sang 'O Canada' fol-`
lowed by the Lord's Prayer. • Ellis
gave a reading on George Burns.
Birthday greetings were sung for.
Luella Taylor and anniversary
greetings were sung to Melvin and ,
Greta' Stade who arc 'celebrating
their 40th anniversary.
The minutes of the last meeting
live&& read. Cicely Wareham is mov-
ing from Exetcr. She. will be missed
by the Exeter Seniors. _ •

meeting in April to form a new by-
law for the club. It will be dis
cussed at a future meeting.
Bingo volunteers going to the
Villa, in -May will be Geraldine

Dzioba, Elsie Joni, and Sabrina Lit-
oborshi,l
Door prizes were won by Lois
McFalls, .• Vera Armstrong and
Charlie Rollings.
- June Hodgson gave a report for
.the Senior games. Most are com-
pleted except for those games to be
played outside. An appreciation
night for all those who took part in
the Games will be held May 30 at 7
.p.m. at the Exeter Legion.
- Ray and June Hodgson were pre-
sented with 'a silver plaque donated
by the Legion, by Norm Eveland
Royal appreciation
Mike Skochinskl, manager for the Royal Bank in Exeter,
chats with customer Rick McGee from Sound Advice during
the Royal Bank's Customer Appreciation day on Friday.
Each Friday the staff pay $2 to dress -down to raise money
for Children's. Hospital.

Clayton and Grace Merner, Mary
Ford, Lois Learn, Eva and Jenny
Tinkler. They read poems and sto-
ries. Sam Skinner and Doris Den-
ham showed their dancing •'dolls
and horses. Wilma Davis played for
them.
Cliff Jaques and Doug Stephens
played several musical numbers.
Lila Ellis read a poem "Special
Delivery".
Jack Riddell performed ` some
Irish and Scottish songs and the
"Auctioneer Song". Jean Hodgen
accompanied him on the piano.
The next meeting will be held
June 3, the last until September.

EXETER - The Exeter Villa cele-
brated Mother's Day on May 3
with a tea, craft and bake sale. Bob
Heywood filled the tea room with
music. Over $350 was raised for
the Resident Activity Fund. A sa-
lute to mothers continued through
until May 12 with entertainment by
the Kountry Korners.
The Villa residents enjoyed an
outing to Kate's Station for lunch
and a drive to Bayfield. As well,
some residents went out to a Victo-
rian Tea in St. Joseph's.
Some of the groups and individu-
als who entertain residents at the
Villa include Doug Insley. Hu on
Strings, Thames Road Guild, t
Lloyd Thompson Band. Marjori
Johns, Jack Wilds and Friends and
Senior Ladies.
The residents enjoyed the musi•
of the Community Choir.
