Lambton County Warden invites
public input on Draft Official Plans
..LAMIBTON COUNTY - It is
time for -the residents .of Lambkin
• County to have their .;ay on plan-
yning the future of the County.
That was the message delivered
by: County Warden John Kowaly-
shyn as County Council released its
Draft County Official Plan" and
Draft Generall Local Official Plan
for public review- and discussion.
It is important that -we get peo-
ple's comments on- the Draft Offi-
• cial Plans: Once residents have. had .
a chance to review their'. and pro-
vide their comments. we will make •
changes if necessary -and adopt an
• Official Plan•for.the.County... Kow=

The County Official Plan will set
the stage. for managing growth in
the County for. the next 20 years.
The . General Local Official Plan
will provide the local municipali-
ties with basic planning policies
which they may modify depending
on• their unique issues: -The General
Local Official Plan will help to
strew -Aline the planning process iii
the County in Tight ,of limited re-
sources. Together the Plans- deter-
mine where new development is to
occur and the firm this new devel-
opment will take. For example. the
Plans promote the establishment of
urban and rural settlement areas.
