Fed Cattle: 692 Cows:.272 Veal calves: 278 .• Lambs and goats: 322 Stockers: 2537 A strong market saw the fed steers and' heifers selling S2 higher. The cows sold steady to last week. On Thursday the veal traded S2 to S3 higher. The lambs sold on a sharply lower trade. All classes of stockers sold on a good active Steady trade. There were 366 steers on offer selling from 92.00 to 98.00 to the high of 104.00.. Twenty-five steers consigned by Cunningham Farms: Lucan averaging 1414 lbs. sold. for an average of 95.10 with sales to 102.00. Eleven steers consigned by Don McAllister. Chesley averaging 1332 lbs. sold for an:av- erage of 95.45 with sales to 99.25. . - Fifteen steers consigned by Fred Smith, Brussels averaging 1390 lbs. sold for an aver- age_ of 93.47 with sales to 97.25.. Ten heifers consigned by Bev Hamilton, Hensall averaging 1198 lbs. sold for an aver- age•of 94.90 with sales to 100.00. . One heifer consigned by Ron Gordon, Blyth weighing 1215 lbs. sold for 99.00. Eleven heifers consigned by Russ Faber. Kippen averaging 1316 lbs. sold for an aver- age of 87.44 with sales to 97.75. Eighteen heifers consigned by Schultz Bros.. Blyth averaging 1 148 lbs. sold for an aver- age of 92.66 with sales to 96.00. Two cows consigned by John Swinkles, Seaforth averaging 1625 lbs. sold for an aver- age of 61.38 with sales to 70.00. According to police, the victim and his friend were 'fishing along the Grand Bend docks at approxi- mately 7:30 a.m. They moved to a different location, leaving tackle boxes for a short time and when they returned to retrieve them, they were gone. The value of the missing items is valued gt approximately $250. International Cooperation and Minister responsible for La Francophonie have approved that the Canadian Foodgrains Bank. -in cooperation with the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), will provide food aid to victims of flooding and famine in North Korea. The decision allows, the Canadian Foodgrains Bank to. use up to $3.6 million of its allocation from CIDA to purchase Canadian grain in response to a United Nations appeal for North Koreans: The food distribution will be coordinated by the World Food Program.
