Kids do the strangest things with • their lunches once they get to school. They trade them. They barely eat them. Or, even worse, they throw them out. If you keep a bowl of raw carrots or celery in the fridge, it provides your child with a food that's.ready- made, easy to pack and delicious to eat. A thermos of vegetable soup made with split pea, lima beans and . barley (during the winter) makes an interesting change from sandwich- es. A vegetable juice pack can also fulfill a vegetable serving. Involving your child in the lunch making process is - another way to understand- ing their changing taste buds.
