Egg hunt organized for Zurich children
Children up to 12
years old are invited to
participate.

ZURICH - The Zurich Optimist
Club will be having their fifth an-
nual Easter Egg hunt at the Zurich
Public School yard from 11:30 a.m.
to 12 p.m. All children in Zurich up
to 12 years old are invited. There
will be door prizes. Raffle tickets
will be sold to raise money for the
Children's Hospital in London.
Winners will get two tickets for the
Michele Wright concert or tickets
for the Garden Brother's Circus in
London.
Carmel Sweeney visited many
relatives, her mother, sisters, cou-
sins, aunts and uncles during the
March break. She travelled to Chat-
ham, Tilbury, Tecumseh, Windsor,
Amherstburg and Leamington.
The Seaforth Harmony Kings
Barbershop Spring Show will be
held on April 5 at the Seaforth
Community Centre at 2 p.m. and 8
p.m. Tickets are available for $IO
and children under 11 years are $5.

The Zurich Cubs took part in a
Kub Kar Rally recently at the
Grand Bend Public School. Some
took part in the Huron District Ral-
ly in Ailsa Craig. '
The Hay Days '96 windup party
at the Zurich Community is
planned for April 18, beginning at
9 p.m. Phone Marge Love to see if
your name is on the list.
Bob Redick spent the March
Break visiting with his daughter
Kim in South Korea where she has
been teaching piano and voice les-
sons to students since last July. She
should be coming home by Sep-
tember.
Dorothy and Paul Ducharme are
home after spending January and
February in Florida.
A Ladies Auxiliary meeting will
be held at the Rest Home on April
1 at 7 p.m.
Adeline Denomme and Donna
Merner have both recently returned
home'after being in the hospital.
Meagan Sweeney and friend Me-
lissa Mcidinser took a bus trip to
Quebec C March 11 to 14.

Palm Sunday service led by children

. SAINTSBURY - St. Patrick's celebrated Palm Sun-
day with the Sunday School children taking the ser-
vice. Courtney MacGillivray was leader.
The children paraded into church. waving palm
branches during the singing of the first hymn. Crystal
Davis led as announcer and Starr Davis, Caleb and
Corkin MacGillivray, Cody Kelley and Travis Davis in
costume re-enacted Jesus' entry into Jerusalem and
how different people reacted to Jesus.
They sang 'We arc Twelve Disciples' along with
other Sunday School members.
Harley Davis read from the Old Testament and Ka -
tic -Scarlett MacGillivray read from the New Testa-
ment. The Psalm and the Holy Gospel was led by
Courtney.
Travis Davis and Cody Kelley presented the offer-
ing.

Sunday school superintendent Hazel Davis gave the
message based on the reading "Were You There?".
On Easter Sunday, April 30, St. Patrick's will cele-
brate their Holy Eucharist service at 10:30 a.m. with
Rev. Stanley Jay officient. Breakfast will follow in the
Parish Hall.
Perth Spring Deanery is to be held at St. Paul's Kirk -
ton on April 17 and A.C.W. annual conference is to be
held April 27 at St. Paul's Cathedral.
Get well wishes go to Mary Davis who has been ill
and is staying with daughter Alexia and Bob Tindall.
Heather MacGillivray, Mabel Needham and Stevie
MacGillivray called Sunday on their way home from
church.
Ron and Margaret Carroll were Sunday evening din-
ner guests with Anne and Carf Cann.
Hugh and Hazel Davis attended the 50th anniversary
party honoring friends Russell and Isabelle King on
Sunday afternoon in Exeter.
