No it is not graduation or the for- mal,' it is the Athletic Council fundraiser, the Fashion • Show., "Going Places" will feature sever- al of -Exeter's retail. fashion• bust= nesses, not to mention a number of students on, the catwalk. .The students are eagerly prepar- ing their sets and music. "The stu- dents are especially enthusiastic this year. It has been five years al- ready since the last show, and•we • feel that both the students and the community, are ready for: it again," said Mts. Eddy teacher. at SHDHS. The retailers are also busy getting ready for the show. "The idea is to let Exeter know that we have a lot of great fashions right here, and "There is still a lot of work to he done, but the end result will be worth it." you don't have to go out of town. The theme 'Going Places' really says a lot about Exeter as well as the' students . and people who live here:"• said Julie . Weber, co- organizer and a fashion merchan- dising student at Fanshawe Col- lege. The stores that are involved are Authentic's RSD; Anne's Fashionation, Designers, Europe- an Addition, MacLean's, Saan; Horsin' Around and Laura Shops of London. The show should be a hit with all. "There•is still a lot of work to be done, but the end result will lie worth it," adds .Weber. Penny Carniva Hay rides enjoyed By Roberta Walker Grand Bend correspondent GRAND BEND - Father Paul Beck of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Grand Bend an- nounced the schedule of Holy Week Services. Final choir practice «ill be at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, be- ginning with the children's choir. then the adult choir and musicians. Holy Thursday Mass is scheduled for 7:15 p.m.. March 27. -Good Fri- day services begin at 3 p.m.. with Stations of the Cross at 7:15 p.m. Easter Vigil begins Saturday eve- nine at 7:15 p.m. and there are two Masses on Easter Sunday at 9 and 11 a.m. Many people helped at the pan- cake breakfast for parishioners .on March 16. The next CWL meeting is scheduled for April 1. after the 7:15 Mass, about 8 p.m. in the par- ish hall. The Order of Alhambra hosted a hay ide and luncheon at the Aka - ear (hall) on the Kiondyke' Road for the workers and staff of Com- munity Living, South Huron, from ARC in Dashwood. About 50 peo- ple enjoyed pizza, hot dogs, donuts and hot chocolate for lunch, fbl- , lowed by hay rides and water pistol fights. Kirkton scouting and guiding movement held a' Penny Carnival recently at the Kirkton-Woodham Community Centre. The event has been an an- noal fundraiser for.the clubs for several years.
