Strang, Clerk Local dancers win A local dance team named Wild West Dance Company competed in a Dance Team Show down Competition in Fort Wayne, indianna from March 7 to 9 where 2200 people came to watch. 48 teams in action. Wild West dancers placed 'first in Division A against six other teams consisting of three to seven dancers. In. this category, a team performs for 10 to 15 minutes to their choice of music and choreography, In this case, instructor Debbie O'Hara came up with the dance selections. Council also authorized the clerk to sign the statutory declaration stating the roadway between Lots 2 and 3. Concession 11 and Lot 3 Concession 11 and Lot 13 South- east Boundary Concession is a pub- lic highway. The purchaser of the Rundle property had requested this clarifi- cation that the road is owned•attd maintained by the municipollty.. An old bylaw found by office staff indicates the township authorized construction of the road. • Update from the hospital board EXETER - South Huron Hospital Auxiliary meeting was held on March 12 with 27 members present. Donna Paynter: president, chaired the meeting. They sang '0 Canada' followed by a reading on 'Easter'. The minutes were read and adopt- ed. The treasurer's report was given by Vera Armstrong followed by committee reports. - Membership fees will be $5 for the coming year. The mystery draw was won by June Hodgson and the volunteer of the month was Chris Philips. Mary Fisher, gift shop convener. reported plans are being made for a quilt to be made later this month. A reminder to all committee con- veners to prepare a year-end report on three-ring paper. in triplicate for the next meeting. April 8. The rummage sale is planned for April 16 and 17. The Region 2 Spring Conference will he in Kitchener -Waterloo on April 28. Verla Russell, chair of the hospi- tal board, was the guest speaker. She gave an update of the ongoing work of committees of the Huron Pcrth eight hospitals. She was thanked and presented with a gift.
