of young dancers clad in aston
ishingly colorful costumes the
Lion King was a big -success as is
proven byits sold out -shows and
appreciative audience. .
Vibrant backdrops and choir
members dressed in animal' attire
added to the siztling mood of the
• •performance that captured attention
with its talented, well -cast actors.'

tries of the Exeter Pentecostal Tab-
ernacle met at the home of Eliza-
_ beth Nisula on -February 27 at 2

-- Jenny Kipfcr presided - over the
meeting and Wanda McLaren led
in prayer.
Barbara Keyes :spoke to -,.the
group, encouraging and instructing -
them in different, ways they can
make 'different items to contribute
to the needy people of Mexico.

verse on `.'Warm".Thank you -notes
were read.. The women were asked
to save their postage stamps. •

CENTRALiA - There -are several
events planned 'dyuring the -upcom-
ing March break:
On March 7, a Teen Dance at the
Crediton Community Hall will fea-
ture live performances by "Boil". a
local band. The dance will be held
frojp 8 to 11 p.m. Cost to attend is
I Si. This event is sponsored by the
Crediton Youth Group for teens in
:grader nine and up.

March 2. Minister Heather Scott
welcomed everyone to worship.

Craylenc Duck and Marlene
Lightfoot led the -congregation in
the celebration of the third Sunday
in Lent. Ray Mills. read the scrip-
ture. Minister Scott explained the
story of Jesus in the temple in her
sermon, entitled "Big Disruptions."
A service at Exeter Villa will be.
held March 5 at 3 p.m. On March 6
at 8 p.m:, Zion West will host the
World Day of Prayer service. Mu-

played by Michael Schwindt who
informed the audience "a fresh kill"
awaited hungry appetites.
Comic . side -kick performance .
were pulled off by fluffy -haired
exuberant -voiced hyenas Laura
Elder, Zak Homuth and Darren
Snow as well as Jonathon Thornton
as Zazti the dodo bird and Clint Ho
muth as Timpn the meerkat.
Elaborate dance numbers were
performed with grace, even with
umbrellas in hand, and soloists
proved their vocal abilities through-
out short, spunky scenes that high-
lighted Lion King's original story
line.
