STEPHEN TOWNSHIP.- Ste-
phen Council passed a motion at its
Feb: 18 meeting st,ating it is will-
ing to cooperate with a Ministry of
Municipal Affairs commission,
should one he appointed, to assist
in the development of an accepta-
hle municipal restructuring.propo-
sal for the community.
This motion follows meetings
held recently between a ministry
mediator and the individual munic
ipal councils involved in the South
Huron amalgamation study. •
The mediation was requested by
Grand Bend Council, which felt.
despite a breakdown of talks, the
study still has merit.
