The Huron -Perth Chapter 14 Motorcycle Non-profit Organization donated $1,000 to- the
Huron Sledge Hockey and Picking Club at the Hensa!! Arena on Saturday. The motorcycle
organization holds rallies, raffles and poker runs to raise money for local charities every
year. Centre of photo, Jim Bozzato presents Brian Corman with a cheque and, inturn,.
received a certificate of thanks.

to celebrate 50th anniversary
EXETER - NG Sis. Doris Denham opened the meet-
ing by reading a poem "I Owe Others Friendship". The
Chapter was' draped in loving memory of Bro. Wil-
liamson. PGM, Bro. Sanders Anglea PSGM, Sis. Clara
Harris and Sis. Mary Van Camp. VG Bev Camp-
bell sent a "Thinking.of you" card to Sis. Lillian Pym
and a gilt to_Sis. Mary.Moody.. -
Sis. Jean Hodgert PDDP gave a report- of all the
things her committee has done in preparation for the
.501h anniversary May 24. Tickets arc now available
from sisters Lois, McFalls, Helen Coates, Doris Dcn-
ham'and Jean Hodgert. The celebration is to be held in
South Huron Rec Centre, dinner at 6:30. Tickets are

There will he a reception for Sis. Margaret Tremblay,
June'21 in Midland when she becomes President of the
Rebekah Assembly of. Ontario. • 'Royalty Rebekah •
Lodge, Forest. will he having Brother's Night Febru-

Mark Friday, April 11 on your
calendar, 1t will be an evening of
enjoyment. Stephen Central Public
School is holding an Extravaganza
' Night. This night includes a Time
and Talent Auction, hake sale, food
booth and a chance auction.
Arca auctioneers will' be calling
for bidders on several articles froth
talents of local residents to new
items.

Secret sister names were drawn. Anyone who wishes
to have a secret sister in 1997, but was not there for
the draw, please contact Sis. Doris Denham. Our NG's
project is a draw to raise money for Rainbow Camp'for
children who have cancer. The speak -off to choose a
young person to go on the UN Pilgrimage for Youth
trip will be March 7. Any young person interested get
in touch with Sis. Jean Hodgert. Past Grand's club will
meet at Sis. Mary Fisher's home February 13. .
Sis.: Mavis Atthill reported That Several sisters went
to -the Grand Master's - banquet in Clinton. Vance
McPherson told of his impression of the trip to the UN
last summer. The Klasscn's from Stratford entertained.
Bro. Ron Wannarnaker, Grand Master gave a very in-
teresting speech and encouraged everyone to continue
to support young people on the UN trip. He was a
,chaperone last summer and was very proud of our Ca-
nadian young people.
The poor boy lunch made about $400. Sis. Jcan Hod-
gert read two readings. Taboo_ was played and every-
one enjoyed a dessert for lunch. ` ; -

Entertainment
for Zurich
seniors
ZURICH - The residents of Blue
Water Rest Home enjoyed watch-
ing "Gone with the Wind" on Sun-
day and Monday afternoon.
Tuesday evening the residents
were entertained • by the Auxiliary
and Max Ducharme and "The
Townliners". Max on violin, Clare
Masse and Harvey Smith on guitar.
Phyllis Deichert as pianist and Lois
Hudgins played the violin and
called for the square dancers. Marg
and Claire Smillic and - Donna
Klopp danced two square. dance
numbers to the tunes of "Red River
Valley=' and "Chinese Breakdown."
Minnic "Pearl (Jean Armstrong)
paid the residents a visit in honor of
the western. theme for the evening.
Donna Klopp, Jean Armstrong and
Marilee Ayottc provided the pro-
. gram for the evening .and helped
serve Valentine cookies, cupcakes
and tarts.
Rev. Ross Thomson, St. Peter's
Lutheran 'Church, Zurich conduct-
ed Thursday afternoon chapel ser-
vice. Fr. Matthias Wronski, St.
Boniface Church celebrated Mass.
Wednesday morning • Bible Study
was held in the Chapel by Julie
Bender, Zurich Mennonite Church.
Thursday evening the residents
prepared pizza with the assistance
of Cathy Shantz, Adjuvant.
Friday afternoon the rhythm hand
gathered in the auditorium to pro-
duce some cheerful sounds of
spring.
