Tema- McKay, her dog, •Ben, and Nora Hodder, all of Exeter,
participate in Walk for Memories on Saturday, an indoor
winter walk-a-thorr at South Huron District High School that
raised $1,000 for the Alzheimer Society- Student council
helped coordinate the walk that was the first of its kind for
the school. Similar walks were also held by.Goderich, Glint-•
ton, Seafoith. and Wingfiam .schools. '

Muriel Lewis chaired the meeting and:opened with a
reading 'The; New_ Year'. Correspondence included a
thank you from the Children's Hospital and an invita-
tion to Clandchoye WI in February. Muriel reported on
the Subdivision meeting and,plans were made for the
nevi meeting in February when all branches will be us
ing- the '100th anniversary program. Dessert and tea
,were served by the hostess.

keting," -.explained Durand, noting
programs such as "Signature Pork,
which is designed to capture export
markets.
Durand - predicts further dis-
cussion of the issue will take place
at T March 13 Ontario Pork meet-
ing. In the meantime, the HCPPA
has its own plan of .action under-
way - in : the form of distributing a
letter supporting the current mar-
keting system.
"1 really think that in Ontario, we
have the best system in the coun-
try,":added Ontario Pork Chief Ex-
ecutive Officer Julian Den Tandt,
who agrees single desk selling is
not restrictive:
"When we all work together- as.
one unit," concluded HCPPA Pres-
ident Ron Douglas in his meeting
address, "work becomes "very en-
. joyable."
