Sunday, Jan. 26 acombined service for Granton and Wesley United Churches was held at, Wesley. Pas- tor. Normalie Voakes entitled her sermon 'Spiritual 911'. Next Sunday Feb. 2 regular ser- vices will be held at both churches. At St. Pauls Anglican Church in Kirkton on Sunday, Rev. Glenda Meakins message was about Jonah who tried to escape from God's calling and was consumed by the whale. The lessons were read by Norma Paul and the minister. St. Pauls -will beholding their an- nual pancake supper on Feb. 11 which is Shrove Tuesday. . ' Cathie Westman and Becky Kin- dree hosted the Luncheon and Eu- chre Social at the Lion's Place in the Park Pavilion; on Friday, Jan. -24. Prizes for lone hands and high score went to Wally Kindree and Elsie Dann and everyone received consolation prizes: Winners at euchre GRAND BEND - There were ten • tables in play at Grand Bend Gold- en Agers euchre party, held at the Legion January. 22. Granton WI The Granton Womens Institute was held at the home of Florence McRobert on Tuesday afternoon; January. 21 when the roll call was answered with a smile for the day. The program topic was Public Re- lations and the motto was 'the best time to make friends is before you need them'.
