cede victory to the St. Marys Kins-
men4-l.
The massive tournament featured
64 Novice, Atom, Bantam and Pee-
wee teams playing in Exeter and
Hensall.
Event organizer Steve Desjar-
dinesaid Barb Dietrich coordinat-
ed at least 100 parents volunteers
during the massive five-day tour-
nament. •
This is only the second year Ex-
eter Minor Hockey hosted a home
tournament for House and Addi-
tional Entry teams.
Dcsjardine said all proceeds go
directly:to minor hockey and the
event has become a good fundrais-
er, hut more importantly, it pro-
vides local teams the opportunity
to participate in a tournament close
to home.
The Exeter Minor Hockey organ-
ization does not host a tournament
for midget and juvenile age -
players, but Desjardine said that
may change in the near future.
"We're,trying to give as many
Exeter teams as we can the chance
to play in a home tournament," he
said adding such events wouldn't
be -possible if it wasn't for the sup-
port and sponsorship of the local
business community.
- Exeter will host a Tyke tourna-
ment on March 8.-
