Sometimes we to to get our picture taken. There are lots of presents and my cousins are there. Aaron Datars- Zurich Public School -Grade 7 "We buy each other gifts usually...We usually invite everybody over on Christmas Eve...We go down, open the presents...And then we eat...Sometimes we go out and play in the snow. Tim Anderson - St. Patrick's - grade 8 "The past few years we've had a real tree. We cut down the tree as a family and decorate the house and tree together. We pick a day to exchange gifts with family and also go to mass." Marcia Melick- Zurich Public School -Grade 5 "We go to our gramma's house and all my other relatives and cousins are there - that's Christmas Eve. And then we have dinner there and then we open gifts and then we play games and we play with our gifts that we got. And then we go home and it's usually about 9 o'clock and then we go to bed and I usually wake up early in the moming...On Christmas Eve we get to open up one gift before we go to bed. Grant Harrigan St. Patrick's - grade 2 "We make a gingerbread Christmas tree. We also go to church on Christmas Eve." Julie Inthavong- Zurich Public School -Grade 7 "We like, put up a Christmas tree and everything...We rush out and buy each other presents and then we put them under the tree. While we're putting up the tree, mom's making supper...We get together with other families...(We light) loikratongs...Whoever receives it is supposed to get good luck." Amanda Schneider- Hensall Public School -Kindergarten "We sing Christmas carols. We sing it on the piano and we put the Christmas decorations up." Colleen O'Shea - St. Patrick's - grade 4 "We go to midnight mass on Christmas Eve and then we open one present each. On Christmas day we walk over to our grandparents. Katie Schutz- Hensall Public School -Grade 7 "On the 6th of December we celebrate...Nicholas. You get these little breadmen. All the gifts are on Nicolas Day instead of the 25th." Tammy Peck - Huron Centennial - Grade 3 "We like to go to church a lot and we like to go to my Gramma's for supper and we like opening presents." Julia Pileggi - St. Patrick's - grade 4 "We put up our lights and tree a few days before Christmas. We open our stockings first and when our parents wake up we open the presents. Sometimes we go to Toronto and we usually eat turkey or rabbit." Jason Miller- Zurich Public School -Grade 3 "We have to open our presents after breakfast. We leave chocolate milk and cookies and carrots." Mark Moffett - Huron Centennial - Grade 7 "We go to our grandparents' house. We bring presents for each other. We have...a big supper and talk and we share stuff." Stan Van den Berg - St. Patrick's - grade 3/4 "We don't have any family here in Canada. We usually open our stockings and then go to church. After church we open our presents. We also go to get a real tree on Christmas Eve and have a fondue dinner."
