Christmas Bureau receives donation
EXETER - According to Gil Ru-
shorne, volunteer manager for the
Huron County Christmas Bureau,
the organization'rs mandate is sim-
ple.
"We want every youngster to
have a full Christmas," said Ru-
shorne. "That means putting a
smile on their faces and food in
their stomachs."
The Christmas Bureau has been
busy collecting food and cash dona-
tions for needy children this holi-
day season and on Thursday they
received a much needed boost.
The charitable organization re-
ceived $1,500 from the Bank of
Montreal in Exeter in the morning
and a $2,000 donation from the Ex-
eter Lions Club in the afternoon.
Huron Tractor also donated a rp tu-
ber of toys and will hold a fundrais-
ing potluck lunch for the Christmas
Bureau on Friday.

"The community support has
been great," he said adding there

who will depend on the Christmas
Bureau this year.
"Our numbers this year is far
greater than it ever has before and
it's exciting to see the community
rally to support those in need."
