THAMES ROAD - The White
Gift service on Sunday at Thames
Road United Church was led by Ju-
dith Parker. Everyone sang the
Christmas Doxology.
Sarah Miller gave the Call to
Worship and Maggie Miller led in
the Prayer of Approach.
Brent and Sharen Dawson and
girls lit one of the Advent candles.
A new Christmas hymn "the Can-
dle is Burning" was sung.
Kristy Bray read the Prayer of
Confessions and Megan Parker
read the scripture lesson.
A drama "White Gift Presence"
was presented by Judith Parker,
Vanessa Bray, Erin Parker, Robyn
Etherington. Heather Morgan and
Robyn Etherington were the greet-
ers and handed out the bulletins.
Paul Morgan, Shaun Morgan,
Heather Morgan and Maggie Mill-
er received the offering and the
congregation took their white gifts
to the front.
Melonie Miller read the an-
nouncements.
Joanne and Cheryl McIntosh told
about a mother and her family.
Karen Etherington told about a girl
named Karen and her tutor.
Margaret Stewart told the chil-
dren a story about a senior named
Bill.
Kathy and Jessica Bray read
about the prayers of the people.
Rev. Jock Tolmay pronounced
the benediction.

Coming events
On December 5 the Sunbeams
Christmas Party at Thames Road at
9:30 a.m. Mothers are asked to
bring candies to decorate the small
Christmas trees. Grandmothers and
special friends are also invited to
attend.
On December 23 a joint Christ-
mas concert will be held with Elim-
ville and Thames Road Sunday
Schools taking part at Thames
Road at 7 p.m.

Dorothy Potter of Oshawa visited
her sister Margaret Stewart of Ex-
eter recently.
Bill and Rhoda Rohde were Sat-
urday evening supper guests with
Clarence and Isabel Thomson of
Woodham.

Pentecostal Tabernacle
Women's Ministries report
EXETER - The Women's Minis-
tries from the Exeter Pentecostal
Tabernacle was held at the home of
Marion Triebner, November 28.
Jenny Kipfer presided over the
meeting and led in the chorus "I
Will Enter the Gates with Thanks-
giving in my Heart."
We also sang "Thank You Lord".
Dove Matheson led in prayer.
The roll call was taken by Shir-
ley Prouty, and answered by a
scripture verse on "Thanks". There
were eleven present.
It was decided to send Christmas
donations. Jenny Kipfer read an ar-
ticle, concerning Rev. Rae and Bet-
ty Faulkner in India. A fruit basket
will be sent to the president Jean
Triebner who is in the hdspital.
Ella Tinney gave a missionary
reading of events takdh place in Li-
beria, Israel and Russia.
Dove Matheson gave a special on
"His Majesty Beyond Human Un-
derstanding". Ps. 103.
The speaker of the afternoon was
Helen Kendrick whose message
was taken from a Billy Graham
