You can reduce the number of colds you get by
simply washing your hands often during the
day. You pick up cold viruses by touching
things that others with colds have touched.
Wash well and often.
Check the fine print on your cereal box. Is it
giving you at least 5 grams of fibre per serving? If so, you are well on'
your way to reaching your minimum fibre, goal of at least 20 grams per
day. This helps lower the risk of colon cancer and heart disease.
The very first X-ray used for diagnostic purposes was taken 100 years
ago in the U.S. It has since become an important diagnostic tool for
many medical problems.
Your doctor needs a variety of information in order to diagnose your
problem and prescribe the appropriate medications. To ensure you
don't forget anything important, make a list before the visit of what you
want to tell your doctor. Make sure you include a list of the medica-
tions you are taking, also.
Don't forget our Diabetic Day, Friday December 6. Call for more infor-
mation.
