Food bank drive
Blddulph Public School students collected 765 food items last week for the Ailsa Craig and
Area Food Bank. Student council sponsored the event, the first of its kind for the school.

Rebekahs to sponsor a
public speaking competition
EXETER - NG Sis. Doris Den-
ham welcomed 30 sisters at a re-
cent meeting of the Rebekahs.
Sis. Dorothy Jones had been in
the hospital, but is now back in the
Villa.
The Rebekahs will be holding a
Christmas party on December 4,
beginning with a meal at 6:30 p.m.
Each member is asked for $4 to pay
expenses and half will be given to
the Christmas Bureau.
Ilderton Rebekahs are having a
bazaar on December 7 at 1 p.m.
Admission will be $1 which covers
tea and goodies. It will be held in
the Legion Hall. Victoria Rebekah
Lodge, London, will be celebrating
their 128th birthday on December 5
at 6:30 p.m. with a potluck meal.
The Exeter Rebekahs will be tak-
ing a bus trip to Brussels on -De-
cember 10 for a visit of the Assem-
bly Vice President Sis. Margaret
Tremblay. There will be a banquet
in the Brussels United Church at
6:30 p.m. Tickets are available
from Sis. Audrey MacGregor for
$10. A meeting will follow in the
Lodge Rooms.
Sis. Elaine Skinner encouraged
everyone to attend a nieeting in the
Exeter Legion on November 27 at
7:30 p.m. regarding the future of
South Huron Hospital.
The Rebekahs are sponsoring a
student for a trip to the United Na-
tions in New York. The students
enter a competition in public speak-
ing March 7 (snow date March 21).
Any high school student interested
is asked to get in touch with Jean
Hodgert.
The Rebekahs are holding a poor
boy lunch on January 24 in the
Lodge Hall.

Theft of wvuey
A gas station on Goderich Street, Scaforth was broken into and money
was taken out of the safe. The safe had been tampered with and entry had
been gained into it. the theft occurred late November 15 or in the morn-
ing of November 16.
Break and enter
Culprits broke into the Community Centre in Usborne Township No-
vember 19. Twelve cases of assorted beer, cans or orange juice, and a
blue coat were stolen. Approximately $300 of damage was done inside
the Centre.
Window smashed
A house on Quebec Road in Vanastra had a window smashed as a re-
sult of kids throwing snowballs. The kids had come out of the park and
then ran back through the park. This incident occurred November 18.
Break and enter
TMP car dealership in Egmondville was broken into November 16 and
the keys to cars were stolen. Three vehicles were removed from the lot.
All the vehicles have been recovered. A Chevelle was found on sideroad
15-16 in Tuckersmith Township, a pickup was located at the old dump
behind the industrial park, and a Cavalier was found in Stanley Town-
ship.
