1 he fed steers and heifers were selling $3.00-$5.00 higher with
cows selling 51.00 - 52.00 higher. Veal and lambs are both selling
steady. Stocker calves were selling $2-$4.00 higher with yearlings
steady.
There were 372 steers on offer selling from 93.00 to 98.00 to the high of 112 00.
Thirteen steps consigned by Ray Dippel, Ayton averaging 1421 lbs. sold for an average
of 100.52 with Wes to 112.00.
Eleven steers consigned by Rada Farms, Bluevale averaging 1324 lbs. sold for an aver-
age of 96.82 with sales to 107.50.
Six steers consigned by Dave Bowles, Brussels averaging 1225 lbs. sold for an average
of 99.83 with sales to 105.50.
Forty-six steels consigned by Cunningham Farms, Lucan averaging 1355 lbs. sold for
an ave age of 96.36 with sales to 104.25.
Fiesta steers consigned by Woodham Farms, Woodham averaging 1200 lbs. sold for an
average of 90.91 with sales to 104.25.
Forty-one steers consigned by Earl Foster, St. Marys averaging 1271 lbs. sold for an av-
erage of 95.22 with sales to 103.00.
Eighteen steers consigned by Johnston Farms, Bluevale averaging 1267 lbs. sold for an
average of 96.08 with sales to 102.50.
Thirteen steers consigned by Schmidt Brook Farms Inc., Woodstock averaging 1483
lbs. sold for an average of 95.76 with sales to 101.50.

Denfield market sales
The market at Denfield traded on a very active demand at prices 3.00 to 5.00
higher on all classes of fed cattle. Good cows sold sharply higher with Amer-
ican orders strong. Stockers sold steady, with fancy Limousin calves in good de-
mand at strong prices. Pigs, sows and boars sold steady.
Bill Kouwenburg, Glencoe sold 3 steers average weight 1085, average price
99.14 with the high sales of the day for a Belgian Blue steer weighing 1265 at
115.00 purchased by Dendekker Meats.
Duncan McLachlan, Parkhill sold 14 steers average weight 1397 average
price 98.06 to a high of 106.25 purchased by Norwich Packers.
John Payne, Wardsville sold 7 steers average weight 1166, average price
98.35 to a high of 105.25 purchased by Holly Park Meat Packers.
Peter and Andre Verstraete, Bothwell sold 2 steers average weight 1235, aver-
age price 100.19 to a high of 105.25 purchased by. Holly Park Meat Packers.
Jerry and Anne Goons, Highgate sold 3 steers average weight 1215, average
price 97.33.
Clayton O'Neil tin Sons, Denfield sold 7 steers average weight 1339 average
price 94.27.
Ralph Poole, Wyoming sold 12 heifers average weight 1142, average price

EXETER - Exeter Council ap-
proved the sharing of the Chief
Building Official (CEO) with Us -
borne Township and Hensall for a
period of three to six months.
Chief Building Official Dave Moy-
er has written a proposal for billing
his time to the two neighboring mu-
nicipalities.
At the same meeting, Moyer ad-
vised council as of the end of No-
vember there will have been 15
housing starts, and the value of
building permits issued has dou-
bled in the last year to $4.5 million.
The number of permits, however,
has risen by only 20 per cent.
