Lucan Irish lose two
consecutive games
ILDERTON - The Lucan Irish
have • lost two consecutive games
dropping a 5-3 decision to Seaforth
on Saturday and losing 6-5 to
Mount Brydges on Friday night.
Adam Duskocy, Chad Greenlee
and Josh Appleman scored for Lu -
can off assists from Bob Grant and
Daryl Boshart in the third period on
Sunday, but it wasn't enough as
Seaforth scored once in the first
frame and four in the third to win
the special home game played in II-
derton.
Friday's effort against Mount
Brydges was a disappointing game
as a second period let down costed
Lucan two points.
"We should have won that game
if we played a full 60 minutes,"
said head coach George Pratt. "The
second period was our downfall."
The Irish played well in the first
period scoring twice and they came
alive in the third with two more

goals, but Mount Brydges caught
them standing still for the first 10
minutes of the second and took ad-
vantage of it scoring goals.
"We just went to sleep in the sec-
ond period and it costed us," said
Pratt.
Despite the poor performance in
the second frame, Lucan's pow-
erplay remained effective ac-
counting for three out of their four
goals and their new acquisition Tre-
vor Shadbolt produced instant re-
sults scoring Lucan's first goal and
adding an assist in the third.
The 20 -year-old winger who
dressed for his first game with Lu -
can on Friday hails from the Junior
"B" ranks where he played for the
London Nationals.
Lucan will try to put an end to
their two -game losing streak when
they play Ayr at home on Wednes-
