Helen MacLean chaired the meeting and opened with a poem. Kay Elder gave a very timely devo- tional on Remembrance Day. Elder gave a scripture reading and told of the life of John McCrae who was a Canadian and the author of "In Flanders Fields", followed by a poem "Why Wear a Poppy". A hymn was sung and the meeting closed with prayer. The Christmas meeting will be held at the Manse. The roll call for the December meeting will be answered with bringing a Christmas gift for a lady or child to be taken to Friendship House in Goderich. Helen MacLean introduced Ann Mousseau who along with MacL- ean took a seven week clown Course at the Children's Md in Goderich last spring. Twenty-two people graduated from the course. Helen is known as "Knobby" and Ann is known as "Cactus". They are called "May Day Clowns".
