The van was white and contained assorted tools including cordless drills, electrical saws, and pipe fit- ting equipment. There was also a 32 foot aluminum ladder on top of the truck. He asked for a pack of cig- arettes and when the till was opened attempted to reach in and vab the money. He was unsuccess- ful and ran out of the store. Suspect described as white male, medium build, blond hair, clean looking, 5'8" - 5'10", wearing a 3/4 length black or dark blue coat with two 1" horizontal stripes across the coat. Break and enter The Book Store at 114 Queen Street in Blyth was broken into some time between 5:30 p.m. Octo- ber 12 and 8 a.m.October 14, 1996. The thieves entered the store and stole computer equipment. The stolen property included a Pentium, model 75 multi and Canon, model BJ -200.
