Teams were entered from clubs in London, Thamesford, Lucknow, Seaforth, Sarnia, Goderich and Exeter. The top three prizes went to bowldrs from the London -Elmwood Club. Roy Triebner and Peter McPalls won their three games to finish in third place at the Al- vin Harmer Memorial Mens Pairs Tournament in Mitchell. For the second time, Roy Tei- chner, Barb Triebner and Peter McFalls won the Machan Snow - hall tournament in Sarnia. Thir- ty-eight teams participated in this mixed -triples event in which. you and your partners switch po- sitions every four ends. The win- ning score was 3wins 51+1I. The Children's Hymn for the month is "He's Got The Whole World in His Hands". "God's Rev- elation" was the Children's story. After prayers of the people the choir sang an anthem. The New Testament reading was from James 1:17-27. Rev. Annen's message was "A New Way to Escape Pris- on". "Come Children Join to Sing" was sung before the offering was taken and dedicated by Doxology and Prayer. "Blessed Be the Tie That Binds" was sung. Commis- sioning and Benediction and the Three -Fold Amen closed the ser- vice. The ushers were Lorne Gack- stetter and Cecil Pepper. Several guest worshippers were welcomed to the service. September 29 from 1-3 p.m. a workshop will be held at Ontario Street United Church, in Clinton, on Climate Change. Louise Hayter gave a report of the London Convention. "Centimental Journey" will be presented at Clinton Legion Hall by the Grand Bend Playhouse on September 19 at 1:30 p.m. Charles Reid is the club's presi- dent, Louise Hayter is secretary and Bob Stirling will continue as treasurer. Bob and Margaret Reid were responsible for the meeting so Bob gave a reading about a poor scared mouse. Margaret Hayter gave a report on attending "The Promise" at Forest on August 4. The production had an attendance on six nights of 12,600 people. Six tables of euchre were played with the following winners: High pink card - Bernice Reid; Low pink - Louise Hayter; High white card - Elmer Hayter; Low white - Grace McClinchey.
