BRUSSELS - The sales at Brussels Livestock
for the week ending September 6, 1996.
Fed Cattle: 653 Cows: 184
Veal calves: 250 Lambs and Goats: 115
Stockers: 1511 Pigs: light run
The fed steers and heifers were selling $2.00 higher
with cows selling $1.00-$2.00 higher on the top quality end, and the bal-
ance selling steady. On Thursday veal sold $5.00-$10.00 higher with
lambs selling steady. On Friday all classes of stockers sold steady.
There were 470 steers on offer selling from 90.00 to 94.00 to the high
of 100.75.
One steer consigned by Carl Mollard, Parkhill weighing 1360 lbs. sold
for 100.75.
'Nine steers consigned by Don Shiell, Wingham averaging 1393 lbs.
sold for an average of 89.84 with sales to 99.50.
Twenty steers consigned by Ed McCann, Dashwood averaging 1347
lbs. sold for an average of 91.06 with sales to 99.25.

The Denfield Report
The market at Denfield Livestock Sales met a strong demand at
prices 1.00 - 2.00 higher on the well fed cattle. American orders
showed more strength, cows traded steady, stockers sold strong, good
veal sharply higher, pigs strong, sows and boars strong.
Bob Hodgins, Lucan sold 10 steers average weight 1383, average
price 91.45 with sales to 96.25 purchased by Holly Park Meat.
Bill Cascaden, Oil City sold 22 steers average weight 1397, aver-
age price 91.61 to a high of 94.25 purchased by Holly Park Meats.
Norman Hodgins, Parkhill sold 29 steers average weight 1343, av-
erage price 91.09 to a high of 93.75 purchased by Ralph Bos Meats
Morley Hodgins, Parkhill sold 15 steers average weight 1317 aver-
age price 91.08 toa high of 95.75 purchased by Dendekker Meats.
Don Eedy and Mark Vanderploeg, Denfield sold 11 heifers, aver-
age weight 1193, average price 92.21 with a high of 96.75 purchased
by M.G.I. Packers.
Jim Thompson, Ailsa Craig sold 12 heifers average weigt. • '148,
