CENTRALIA - The summer is moving rapidly along, and harvest in the
area has now begun. Many farmers spent the Civic Holiday weekend in
the fields combining wheat, or baling hay and straw. Oats and barley are
starting to ripen, and there's sweet corn and tomatoes ready in the garden.
The Centralia/Huron Park Lions Club will host an "Antique, Rod &
Custom Car Show" at the Centralia ball diamond on Sunday, August 25
from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
A pancake breakfast will be held from 8 to 11 a.m. The show will in-
clude trophies, door prizes, dash plaques, and swap meet crafts. Rough
camping will be available overnight on August 24. A 50/50 draw will be
held with proceeds going to the Sunshine Foundation. Admission will be
free for spectators. Anyone interested in entering their car should contact
Ron Harvey at 228-6570 or Bill Chadwick at 228-6710 for more informa-
tion.
Children aged four to 10 years arc invited to the Centralia Library to par-
ticipate in the "Go For the Gold!" event on Tuesday, August 13 from 6 to
7 p.m. with games, stories, crafts, and songs. There will be a registration
fee of $ 1.00 per child.
On July 17 in Crediton, there were nine tables of euchre players. Low
Hand winners were Evelyn Pickering and Walter Weber. May Scott and
Gil Northey were High Hand winners, while Lone Hand winners were
Mary Rhame and Anne Northey.

The backyard of Deb and Stu Homuth of Exeter was the
site of a reunion for people who were in grade nine at
South Huron District High School in 1970. Approximately
200 ex -Panthers attended a party at the Homuths on
Hill Street recently to renew old friendships and enjoy the
music of a live band that was playing at the school when
they were students there. Some in attendance were cele-
brating their 40th birthday. Reunion '96 Committee mem-

of the skin also stimulates the
collagen Ia\er of the skin to
contract. The result of this is that
the healthy skin underneath is
tinner, more elastic, thicker and
more youthful.
Lasers ss111 eventually replace
face lifts and chemical peels. The -
results are permanent until your
skin naturally wrinkles again (about
1(1 to 15 years). This procedure is
done under local anesthesia. It
takes about IO to 15 minutes for an
upper lip and half an hour for both
upper and lower hp. A full face
takes about one hour. Pain is like
that of a sunburn and patients need
to he able to have a week to 10 days
for recovery.
