Celebrating Our Heritage: Zurich's 132nd fair theme
ZURICH - With sunny skies overhead, everything was in its place just before the Zurich Parade
on Saturday afternoon. Animals in the petting zoo were being tended to, the sheep and chickens
were on display, the rides were ready and the Blue Raspberry Smerf Apples were being dipped in a
booth near a table with popular Cat in the Hat hats.
Before the parade passed the Community Centre entrance, someone exclaimed, "It's
a big parade this year!" Within minutes, horses, tractors, a variety of floats including a
giant telephone and even Santa Claus passed on the streets. Parade participants paused .\

to chat to friends and neighbors along the way. unit Centre grounds
Following the parade, everyone sought action at the Community
where the rides were fired up, the apples were sold and the animals adored.
