A research study had men do 5000 sit-ups over 27 days. Results? No significant loss of fat In the tummy area. To lose body fat, the main rule still applies: Bum more calories than you take in. It's boring, but true. To reduce the risk of osteoporosis, women between the age of 25 and menopause should do weightbearing exercises (walking's great) for one hour 3 times weekly, eat a healthy diet including at least 1000 mg of calcium and 400 units of Vitamin D per day, not smoke or overuse alcohol. A new drug being studied to treat glaucoma has a strange side effect. If you have brown eyes, you might notice a change to blue eyes as you use the drug. It Is quite a promising drug (once daily dosing), but not available In North America yet. Boats with enclosed cabins should have a carbon monoxide detector Installed. Carbon monoxide Is a by-product of Incomplete fuel combus- tion and can cause fatal poisonings. Before you take it, talk about it. Good advise when you take medica- tion.
