Darns Stantabwery correspondent SAINTSBURY - St. Patrick's church members celebrated their Holy Eucharist service at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Stanley Jay officiant June 30. The processional hymn was "Mine Eyes Have Seen the Glory." Rev. Jay spoke to the children for the focus about the "Dominion of Canada". There will be no services at St. Patrick's until July 28 when Morn- ing Prayer will be celebrated and August 4 when Rev. Stanley Jay will be at St. Patrick's to celebrate the Holy Eucharist. Courtney MacGillivray celebrat- ed her sixteenth birthday recently with a sleepover with several friends. The women of St. Patrick's will meet at the Davis's at 9 a.m. July 4 to travel to Betty Johnson's home in Owen Sound for lunch and the July A.C.W. meeting. WM donates funds EXETER - The Women's Minis- tries met at the 3 AAA's Restaurant June 27 for dinner. They held their meeting afterward at the home of Jean Triebner. Ten members answered the roll call by giving a scripture verse on "Bride." They sang the hymn "Come and Dine" and a chorus "As the Deer Pants After the Water." The group decided to send a do- nation to needy children and to the India Boys' Home. They also plan to send money to the missionary's children for birthdays and an anni- versary. They will also give money to print bibles in Greece. Ruth McLaren gave a missionary reading, and read a letter from World Vision about drilling for wa- ter in Africa. Marion Triebner presented a poem. Wanda McLaren gave a message on choosing a bride and making a bride based on Ezekiel 16. There was a Season of Prayer by the women and they sang the hymn "Until Then". Lunch was provided by hostess Jean Triebner. Marion Triebner helped serve. Choirs perform for seniors EXETER - Lots of singing and informative speakers have held the attention of the Exeter Dining Out Program. Ed Potter gave a talk and showed pictures of some of his travels to South America and Ja- pan. The children from Exeter Public School choirs presented programs. Mrs. Walper came with 30 junior choir members the first week, followed by Judy Mills conducting the primary choir the next week. There were 83 children in the group. They were all served a cold drink fol- lowing their performance. On June 25, Janet Kyle from Shore- line Healthco displayed health aids for seniors. Keyboard players for the month were Jean Hodgen, Wil- ma Davis, Maxine Sereda and Josie Ryckman. Draw prizes were won by Georgina Engler, Betty Hum- phrey, Erlma Keller, Jean Rolo- son, Ruth Skinner, Mildred Thomson, Gerry Dobrindt, Es- telle Chalmers, Mary Neil, Stewart Miner, Marion Frayne, Anna Eberhardt and Marjorie Dykeman. Joan McCann brought some branches from her tulip tree as prizes. Ruth Brock and Ruth Arthur gave some amusing readings. Some old sayings on Mother's and Father's Day were given by Faye Skinner. Fourteen years ago, Annie and son Bill travelled to B.C. to visit seven-year,old granddaughter Persephone and the three attended the movie version of Annie in a theatre in Vancouver.
