Humphreys - Watson
On June 1, 1996 Tracy Ann
and Christopher Noel were
united in marriage at St. Boni-
face Catholic Church, Zurich
by Father Wronski. They are
the children of Phyllis Hum-
phreys and the late Thomas
Humphreys of Exeter,and Paul
and Angela Watson of Dash-
wood. The matron of honour
was Jodi Kukula, friend of the
bride. The bridesmaids were
Tracy Southcott, friend of the
bride, Mary Nigh, sister of the
groom, Tracy Lee Humphreys,
sister-in-law of the bride. The
best man was Robert Wat-
son, brother of the groom.
The ushers were Leon Bedard
and Mark McAdams, friends
of the groom, and Tom Hum-
phreys, brother of the bride.
Flowergirls were Samantha
Humphreys, niece of the
bride, Brittany Nigh, niece of
the groom and ringbearers,
Luke Morrissey, nephew of
the groom and Matthew Nigh,
nephew of the groom. After a
very nice 'and'relaxinghoney-
moon in Barbados, the newly-
weds
ewlyweds will reside in Exeter.
Several from Varna graduate

Varna correspondent
VARNA - The combined church
service with Varna and Goshen will
be in Varna this Sunday, July 7 at
11 a.m. This will be the first ser-
vice for the new minister Rev. Tra-
cy Crick. A short congregational
meeting will follow the service and
a potluck lunch will be served in
the Sunday School room after the
meeting. Please briny finger foods
for lunch.
There will be a community bridal
shower for Robin Norman on Au-
gust 1 at the Varna Complex.
Monday, June 24 was a big night
for some of the youth from the
Varna community. Grade eight
graduation was held at Huron Cen-
tennial School and many from the
area graduated. Congratulations to
Nic Armstrong, William Coultis,
Steve Gilroy from Brucefield, Tra-
ci Taylor, Cara Stephenson, Brian
Webster, Kristen Bauer, Amanda
McVeeney, Adam Talbot, Jennifer
Taylor. William (BJ) Coultis re-
ceived the award for Top Academ-
ic Boy Runnerup, the W.S. Jeffery
Math Award, Cara Stephenson re-
ceived the Music Award and the
Tech 21 Award. Brian Webster re-
ceived the Most Improved Student
Award. All of these students will
be heading into Clinton High
School in the fall and are wished
all the best.

PUBLIC MEETINGS
Bosanquet, Exeter, Grand Bend, Stephen, Usborne
Amalgamation Feasibility Committee
In a proactive response to the municipal funding situation in the
Province of Ontario, the Towns of Bosanquet and Exeter, the
Village of Grand Bend, and the Townships of Stephen and
Usborne have begun exploring the potential feasibility of
amalgamation. A joint committee of these municipalities has
been established and the firm, KPMG Consulting of Waterloo,
has been hired to conduct a feasibility study.
We would like to provide members of the community -at -large
with opportunities for input into this process. Public workshops
will be held from 7: 00 - 10:00 p.m. on July 11th at the South
Huron Recreation Community Centre In Exeter and on July
12th at the Grand Bend Legion. These workshops are designed
to gather public Input as we attempt to determine a more cost-
effective means of delivering services while maintaining a high
quality of life in our communities.
